Instructions for use:
Soldering of aluminium and aluminium alloys. Soldering of aluminium with copper, brass, bronze, tin and zinc metal plate. Good polishing. Solder 420 without tin, zinc, lead and cadmium.
Workshop tools:
Blowtorch or oxyacetylene torch (excess acetylene flame).
Brazing with Solder 420:
Mix or shake the flux. Surfaces have to be properly cleaned for brazing by brushing with a stainless steel wire brush, or by stiff rubbing with emery cloth. Coat the joints with appropriate flux. Proper fluxing is important because the flux absorbs oxides formed during heating and promotes the flow of filler metal.
Temperature indicator:
Heat the joint area. In some seconds the flux will be dry and white. Then the flux colour will change to grey and become completely fluid. Now feed the alloy solder 420 into joint. After completing the joint, all flux residues must be removed.
